Finance Manager, Device Accessories Finance

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to play a key role on the Amazon Devices Accessories Finance Team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading innovative and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle Fire Tablets Fire TV and Echo/Alexa Family of Devices. The Accessories finance team supports the development of accessories for all of these devices and the development of new smart accessories.

The Manager in this role will be the primary Finance Business Partner for the FireTV accessories business as well as various ad-hoc month-end accounting and reporting processes.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker highly analytical creative and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

As a Finance Manager you will work directly with PM and Sales and Marketing leaders to develop business cases and identify growth opportunities for the business.

Key job responsibilities
- Supporting product and portfolio scenario analysis with financial modeling and data-driven recommendations
- Financial budgeting planning reporting and variance analysis
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Managing program budgets
- Leading automation efforts for critical processes

- 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5 years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
- 5 years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 5 years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
