Reporting to the Sr. Manager of NA Commercial Finance the NA Commercial Finance Manager is a strategic partner to Sales leadership owning commercial performance visibility forecast accuracy and decision support across the revenue lifecycle.
This role combines strong analytical leadership technical capability and commercial judgment to structure complex problems independently build scalable solutions and deliver fast decision-ready insights that drive profitable growth.
The position plays a critical role in scaling commercial finance capabilities improving speed and quality of insights and supporting the continued growth and evolution of the organization.
1. Commercial Performance Ownership
- Own visibility to volume revenue and profitability performance
- Identify key drivers risks and opportunities early and drive actions with Sales
- Translate data into clear decision-ready insights
2. Forecasting & Planning
- Lead commercial forecasting and planning processes
- Manage assumptions and key drivers; identify gaps vs. plan
- Improve forecast accuracy through structured driver-based approaches
3. Cross-Functional Partnership & Influence
- Act as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership influencing decisions with objective data-driven insights
- Synthesize inputs across functions to create a cohesive view of commercial performance risks and opportunities
- Ensure alignment between demand supply constraints pricing strategies and financial targets
- Engage cross-functional partners including Demand Planning FP&A Pricing and Strategy/Market Intelligence early to shape decisions and drive coordinated action not just report outcomes
4. Reporting Tools & Process Scale
- Own and evolve commercial reporting (sales profitability)
- Design scalable frameworks that improve speed consistency and accuracy
- Independently build and enhance dashboards/reporting solutions (Tableau Power BI etc.)
- Drive automation and standardization to reduce manual effort
5. Customer & Demand Insights
- Lead analysis of inventory ordering patterns and true demand (sell-to vs. sell-through dynamics)
- Quantify impacts on revenue timing and forecast accuracy
- Partner with Sales to reduce volatility and improve ordering discipline
6. Structured Problem Solving & Execution
- Quickly structure ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches
- Independently deliver high-quality decision-ready outputs with speed and efficiency
- Operate end-to-end with minimal direction
- Bachelors Degree required
- Advanced degree e.g. MBA preferred
- 5-8 years of experience in commercial finance FP&A or sales finance with demonstrated ability to independently structure and deliver high-quality analysis in fast-paced ambiguous environments
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required; strong hands-on experience building dashboards and reporting solutions (Tableau Power BI Business Objects) highly preferred
- Proven experience partnering with Sales or commercial teams
- Track record of delivering timely decision-ready insights and improving reporting or analytical processes
- Experience in publicly traded and/or manufacturing environments highly desired
- Experience operating in fast-paced dynamic business environments preferred
As of the date of this posting a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $130000 to $160000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience skills geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
