Job Summary:
Involves developing interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning resource planning (dollars) and control of organizational budget. May analyze and prepare recommendations for financial plans including annual resource allocations future requirements and operating forecasts.

The Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost Business Service Center was formed to provide centralized financial transactional processing purchasing reconciliations reporting and budget development and management to the direct offices of the Chancellor (CO Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Outreach (VCDO) and Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost (EVCP). These services are also provided to the subunits of the VCDO and EVCP. These units include the Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity and Diversity Office the direct offices of the Vice Chancellor of Research Associate Vice Chancellor Research Associate Vice Chancellor Ethics and Compliance and their subunits Research Cores Laboratory Animal Research Center (LARC) Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) Institutional Animal Care and Use Program (IACUP) the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) CoLabs International Research Support Operations (IRSO) and the Office of Innovation Ventures which includes the subunits: Office of Technology Management Center for Digital Health Strategic Alliances and Center of Entrepreneurship as well as Academic Affairs Student Academic Affairs Academic Senate Graduate Division and the Campus Library.
Required qualifications:
Working knowledge of finance policies practices and systems.
Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize and perform basic financial analysis assignments.
Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely.
Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis fiscal management and financial reports.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to function as a member of a team.
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Education Licenses and Certifications:
Bachelors degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
