How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensure every fan meets our quality standards and arrives ready to perform in critical customer applications. What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX your core responsibilities will be:

Safety

  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns promptly.

Quality

  • Inspect completed products before shipment for quality accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify components match production orders and engineering drawings.
  • Perform dimensional measurements and visual inspections.
  • Touch up paint and cosmetic finishes as needed.
  • Document inspection results using computerized manufacturing systems.
  • Help identify quality issues and support corrective actions.

Assembly & Finishing

  • Install guards accessories and other final components.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete finishing work.
  • Remove burrs weld spatter or surface imperfections using grinders and hand tools.
  • Read blueprints work instructions and production documentation.

Teamwork

  • Support coworkers across departments when needed.
  • Maintain dependable attendance.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.

What we are looking for (Experience Knowledge Skills Abilities Education)

We each bring something to the table and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read work instructions and use measuring tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Experience Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with quality inspection
  • Blueprint reading
  • Welding fabrication or assembly experience
  • Experience using ERP or manufacturing software
  • Knowledge of dimensional measuring equipment

Travel & Working Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment where employees work around industrial equipment and moving machinery. The role requires standing for extended periods frequent walking bending reaching and lifting with assistance as needed. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required.
