As a Rest Area Technician with the Oregon Travel Information Council (TIC) youll help travelers maintain essential facilities and play a vital role in public safety. This fill-in position offers flexible scheduling you work as needed including weekends and holidays. Perfect for extra hours or flexible work!

What Youll Do:

  • Maintain restrooms buildings and grounds clean and safe

  • Conduct security checks to ensure visitor safety

  • Perform minor repairs and general maintenance

  • Keep walkways roadways and parking areas clear

What Were Looking For:

  • Works well independently and with others

  • Friendly approachable and able to assist the public law enforcement and staff

  • Experience (or ability) in janitorial tasks basic repairs and groundskeeping

  • Reliable follows instructions and completes tasks accurately

Working Conditions:

  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Frequent interaction with the public often working alone

  • May be exposed to hazards allergens and waste cleanup

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like bending climbing and reaching
