Our client is currently seeking a qualifiedField Technician to join their team in Portland ME and provide end-user support. Candidates must have reliable transportation clean MVR and a valid drivers license.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues
- Install configure and maintain IT equipment and related applications
- Repair / install / remove printers POS laptops desktops servers network equipment
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Provide clear professional technical support to customers both onsite and via phone
- Maintain accurate service documentation ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of printers (laser and wide format / plotters) computer hardware and software systems
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot analyze and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while also functioning effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to climb ladders and utilize hand tools efficiently
- Physical ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
The rate for this position is between $18.00 - $24.00 per hour unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
