Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Active Valid Texas Teaching Certificate and/or a Current Certificate appropriate for a Principal Assignment. If not currently certified must hold at least a masters degree in the academic area or field related to the certification area for which supervision is being provided and compliance with the continuing professional education requirements. Accomplished educator as shown by student learning with a minimum of three years of creditable teaching experience Complete the appropriate training for the role of field supervisor: Complete TEA Approved Field Supervisor Observation Training for Teacher Candidates every three years OR Hold a current valid Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T- TESS ) Appraiser Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree or higher Principal or Superintendent Certificate Experience mentoring & developing new teachers. Experience evaluating documenting and providing feedback on teacher performance and effectiveness.
