Field Supervisor Fire Alarm

Up to $35/hour depending upon experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily field support and measure the performance of technicians
• Work with project managers and sub-contractors as needed
• Must be able to source understand and interpret industry codes and standards
• Ensure technicians are participating in all Koorsen and vendor-required training
• Provide coaching and motivation to help develop team members
• Must be organized and have the ability to make adjustments in the schedule to assist with department coverage needs
• Interact with customers vendors and co-workers in a professional manner
• Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices
• Open-minded willingness for continual learning
• Follow all Koorsen policies procedures and core values
• Any other duties deemed appropriate by management

Required:

• 4 to 8 years of lead experience in the life safety industry
• 5 years in fire alarm repair
• Must have knowledge of software and panel programming
• At least a NICET I certification
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pass drug and background screenings
• Valid drivers license

Preferred:

• Multiple NICETs in each discipline preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
• Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and fax machines.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.; push and pull greater than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet use a man lift and reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services
• Exposure to outside weather conditions temperature changes and loud noises
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit stand walk use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Hiring Process (in addition to an interview):

1. New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within 3 days of hire. This form is required by the U.S. Department of Justice and Immigration and Immigration and Naturalization Services. It is used to verify your identity and right to work in the United addition we verify employment eligibility via E-Verify.
2. All Positions require background checks with criminal courts state and county repositories of criminal records and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
3. A test for Evidence of Substance Abuse by urinalysis test is required if this application results in an offer of employment.
