Job Summary
This is a remote position.
Generator Inspection Maintenance Repair and Upgrades. Keeping the lights on for
America and the world. The team culture is built around Safety Quality and Schedule. The
employee will work at customer sites both domestically and internationally. The employee
will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions moving mechanical parts high precarious
places fumes or airborne particles outside weather conditions extreme cold extreme
heat vibration and high voltage electricity. The employee may work with toxic or caustic
chemicals and radioactive material. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to
high.
How Youll Make an Impact
Assist winding operations in a productive manner that meets the manufacturing
and engineering specifications on all turbine generator field and factory equipment
of both Siemens Energy Westinghouse OEM and other manufacturers designs
including but not limited to stators rotors exciters voltage regulators and other
related rotating and stationary equipment.
Assist with electro-mechanical operations of various types relating to the testing
and servicing of turbine generator equipment.
Assist in performance of turbine generator inspections specialty services and
related work assignments.
Assist with winding and machining assembly tool setup and operation work
package and other documentation use and implementation and any other
winding/machining tasks that are required to maintain product line service
capabilities.
Communicate work instructions and personal understanding of tasks assigned with
leaders and peers that enables all employees on the project to perform in a manner
that maintains and meets task criteria and schedule.
Complete and assume responsibility for maintaining personal Time and Expense
reports on a weekly basis.
Requirements
What Youll Bring
High School diploma or recognized equivalent; and two years related industrial
experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and
maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be able to travel up to 100% of the time both domestically and internationally.
Availability to work at customer sites and be able to meet the demands of
aggressive schedules.
Must be able to enter and exit generators and work in awkward positions inside a
generator frame.
Must be able to climb ladders/scaffold to connect water skids and assist the field
engineer in testing operations in various areas of the generator.
Must be able to operate machinery such as Hytorq equipment pneumatic wedging
guns sanders saws etc.
Knowledge and proficient use of common tools including hand tools (e.g.
screwdrivers pliers) and power tools (e.g. drills grinders) to support precise and
efficient winding tasks.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision
color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Required Skills:
Experience: HSE And Safety: 3 year (Preferred) OSHA 30 CPR AND FIRST AID Education: Bachelors (Preferred) BUT NOT NECESSARY Location: TRAVEL ACCROSS US BUT MOST IN TX AND CALIFORNIA
