Job Summary
SUMMARY: The Equipment Service Technician role is responsible for providing repair services on pumps blowers portable / stationary compressors generators and ancillary AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform scheduled maintenance service and repair on air compressors pumps and portable diesel utility equipmentOversee and/or install related equipment and systems at customer locationsInspect and diagnose mechanical electrical and or system failuresEducate customers on proper start-up procedures and maintenance intervals along with potential spare parts requirementsMaintain continuity between the customer and the company during and after installations to ensure proper application and operations of systems and equipmentFollow proper safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all timesProvide the required tools and diagnostic equipment necessary to perform job assignmentsInsure the proper use maintenance and safety of all company vehicles and equipmentAttend relevant training session and maintain appropriate required levels of certificationsAdministrative responsibilities include the documenting of labor hours parts usage and equipment data on a daily other relevant duties that may be assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum: High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position requires excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude and a minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to read and interpret work orders along with communicating ideas and suggestions both verbally and in writingAbility to complete basic math skillsBasic Computer skillsGeneral mechanical aptitudePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sitting (working at a desk) up to 33%Standing up to 33%Walking up to 33%Lifting up to 50 lbs. using proper body mechanics (lifting devices are utilized for heavier loads)Basic computer skills requiredFrequent use of both handsExposure to moderate steady and fairly loud noise levels below 85 dBAbility to work in extreme temperatures during both winter and summer monthsMay be exposed to slippery work surfaces for up to 3 hours per day
