Job Summary

Summary:A Field Service Technician MOV II will be skilled and understand the purpose and principles of operating electric actuator this role you will be responsible for installation servicing testing repair maintenance removal inspection and replacement of electric actuator :All additional job responsibilities of a MOV Technician ILocate use and comprehend manufacturer installation and operation manualsPerform inspection to identify necessary corrective action as authorizedAssemble test and troubleshoot actuators and other equipment per applicable codes and standards per manufacturer and/or customer requirementsInstall accessories as necessaryPerform calibration of equipment in accordance with internal quality proceduresSupport Field Service Technician - MOV I employees through mentoring and on-the-job trainingMay act in a leadership role for assigned jobsDemonstrates sound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are identified or detected when servicing MOVs in the fieldEnsures all products repaired/assembled meet the quality standards in accordance with procedures engineering specifications drawings and work instructionsPerforms functional tests as requiredCollects data and documents and prepares detailed reports for customer review billing records and expense reportingAssumes responsibility and handles multiple tasks under potentially stressful and hazardous conditionsAdheres to all policies and proceduresPractices safe work habits to ensure an injury free environmentUses physical force to lift push pull and hold equipment and toolsClimbs and works at various heights sometimes working in a standing sitting lying down crouched or kneeling positionRoutinely reacts to visual aural and other signals including alarms and instructions and is required to visually inspect workBe on the job and available to work overtime at times for extended periods of time based on seasonal customer demandsOperate motor vehicle as requiredAttend job and safety training as necessary or requiredAny job duties as assigned by supervisor or managerPositional Requirements & Qualifications:Education & Experience:HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus2 - 5 years of industry experienceMinimum of 1 to 3 years of electric actuator experienceSkills & Abilities:Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresCompleted QC assessmentWorking knowledge and proficiency of leading manufacturer electric actuator linesBasic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC only if required)Ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast paced environmentAbility to manage peopleAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of management customers and other employeesAbility to prepare detailed reports and correspondence that are clear and intelligibleDemonstrated can do attitude and excellent customer service skillsCustomer driven/focusedTeam oriented and willing to lead othersHigh energy detail orientedAbility to read and interpret documents such as master schedule safety rules operating instructions drawings/prints and procedure manualsSound judgment with the ability to make decisions and corrections when problems are detectedAbility to work independently and/or in team assignmentsStrong safety record and knowledge of safety rules and practicesAbility and willingness to work overtime as needed to support customer requirements and seasonal business volumeStrong history of dependability and reliabilitySupervision:Works mostly autonomously with little supervisionMust be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesClear background check and drug/alcohol screeningWilling and able to lift and work with personal protective equipment including emergency breathing apparatusEssential Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending stooping walking and climbing stairsAscending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding rampsMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesRemaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingersOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipmentAssessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsAble to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
