Field Service Engr I- Turbo Machinery

As a Field Service Engineer I - Turbo Machinery you will provide field and factory technical support for centrifugal pumps and compressors with an emphasis on controls instrumentation PLC systems and rotating equipment. You will support installation commissioning troubleshooting and maintenance activities while working alongside experienced engineers and directly supporting customers and channel partners.

Domestic and international travel of up to 50% is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field service activities with 100% compliance to safety regulations and mandatory training requirements
• Provide technical support for centrifugal pumps and compressors including API and non-API equipment
• Support installation pre-commissioning commissioning and startup activities at customer sites (24 projects/month typical workload)
• Troubleshoot mechanical electrical process and control system issues with guidance from senior engineers as needed
• Utilize PLC and control system logic to assist in diagnosing equipment performance issues
• Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations as assigned
• Create and manage service cases in CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft CRM or equivalent platforms)
• Assist with customer and channel partner technical training sessions as needed
• Support on-site work performed by customer technicians to ensure OEM/API compliance standards are met
• Generate accurate and timely technical reports warranty evaluations and service documentation (within 4872 hours of site activity completion)
• Assist with equipment evaluations to determine warranty vs. non-warranty failure classification
• Support rebuild repair and retrofit activities of rotating equipment per OEM specifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering OR
  • Associate degree 2 years of field service experience OR
  • High School Diploma 4 years of rotating equipment / industrial field service experience
• 1 years of hands-on field service experience with rotating equipment (pumps compressors turbines or similar systems)
• 1 years of experience troubleshooting mechanical electrical or process control systems in industrial environments
• Basic working knowledge of PLC systems and control logic troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of P&IDs process control systems and industrial instrumentation
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
• Ability to manage assigned field activities and complete technical documentation within established timelines

WE VALUE

• Experience with centrifugal pumps compressors or rotating equipment
• Familiarity with API standards seal plans or oil & gas/industrial environments
• Exposure to Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) methodologies
• Basic PLC troubleshooting or industrial control systems experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering specifications
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Willingness to learn from senior engineers and expand technical expertise
• Prior internship co-op military or industrial maintenance experience is a plus
• CAD software familiarity (AutoCAD SolidWorks NX) is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple field assignments
• Demonstrated customer focus attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning

The annual base salary range for this position is $61800 - $77200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
