Field Crew Chief Civil Survey

Job Summary:This position works in the field directing Instrument Person(s) and completes houseline surveying services topographic surveys tree surveys wetland surveys boundary surveys and ALTA surveys. They also complete control surveys and bench loops as well as construction staking services within quality and Duties:Ensures timesheets are submitted accurately and on an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a daily supervisors informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional a good relationship with clients and closely and coordinates with staff and site and accurately uses all field survey maintains and takes care of field & reading information for the daily and electronically file legible field notes and sketchesSuccessfully upload and download data files to/from upload and download calibration files to/from for stocking the company vehicle each morning (supplies & equipment).Properly maintains cleans and takes care of field completes houseline surveying completes topographic tree and wetland completes boundary and ALTA completes control surveys and bench completes construction staking completes record drawings and as-constructed control sheets and block sheets and coordinates information with office and accurately uses Trimble Business Center and other required to make independent decisions within the general framework of in with the client (on-site) upon arrival and departure with Survey Project Manager and/or Staff Surveyor on a daily projects efficiently and within Manhard quality and trains Instrument persons and Survey and trains Engineers and Surveyors cross training in completes commercial building column staking engineering plans and reviews for potential field coordinate multiple field staff on job ways to improve our abilities to use and understand field equipment and for opportunities to improve standard procedures and quality leadership qualities and mentors other crew construction calculations and block sheets in Requirements:Must have a High School Diploma and/or Surveying Degree with 5-8 years experienceEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma and/or Surveying Degree with 5-8 years minimum experienceCertificates Licenses Registrations:Valid drivers licenseRequired Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Excellent oral and technical written communication to direct instrument persons and other field sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client to work overtime as needed to complete to work in the field in all weather to learn and improve field skills and survey to make independent decisions within the general framework of projectsMust be fluent in the English languageWORK ENVIRONMENT OR PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
