Job Summary
This position serves as a primary resource for field members and home office partners on Financial Associate (FA) revenue commissions incentives and production credit matters. The role provides guidance and support on compensation policies relationship management policies commission and production credit calculations reporting and incentive programs. Responsibilities include researching interpreting and communicating compensation outcomes resolving complex compensation issues and ensuring accurate application of compensation policies and processes.
This can be a remote position within the US.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Servesas a primary point ofcontact for Financial Advisors and Field Leadership providing compensation-related support through phone email and other service channels.
Respondsto advisor inquiries by researching compensation questions explaining policies and procedures and resolving issues ina timelyandaccuratemanner.
Processesandmaintainsadvisor compensation split agreements including creating updatingvalidating and researching split arrangements.
Investigatescompensation discrepancies by reviewingtransactionsidentifyingroot causes and coordinating resolution efforts with internal business partners.
Processescompensation adjustments and corrections while ensuring adherence toestablishedcompensation policies procedures and controls.
Reviewsnew business submissions and related documentation tovalidatecompensation-related data elements including ownership insured information and advisor splits.
Identifiesand escalatescompensation setup or processing issues that couldimpactadvisor payments helping to minimize delays and payment inaccuracies.
Educatesadvisors on compensation programs business rules and common compensation scenarios to improve understanding and reduce repeat inquiries.
Maintainsaccuratedocumentation of advisor interactions research findings and issue resolutionsin accordance withdepartmental standards.
Supportscontinuous improvement efforts byidentifyingtrends providing feedback on recurring issues andassistingwith updates to procedures and job aids.

Field Professionals (including Financial Advisors)
This role interacts extensively with Financial Advisors (FAs) and Office Professionals (Ops). Responsibilities include answering compensation-related questionsassistingwith manual split setup researching missing compensation transactions and providing guidance through compensation scenarios so advisors can make informed decisions for themselves and their teams. The role also delivers training and education to new FAs and other field partners.
Field Leaders
This role partners regularly with Field Leaders at all levels including Group Vice Presidents (GVPs). Advisors often engage their Field Leaders when seekingassistancewith compensation matters requiring close collaboration to research issues and identifyappropriate resolutions.
Field Compensation Operations and Reporting Teams
This role works closely with internal Field Compensation partners to resolve escalated advisor issues process off-cycle payment requests address reporting concerns and fulfill ad hoc reporting and analysis needs.
Contracting Licensing and Registration (CLR)
Frequent collaboration with the CLR team is essential. This roleassistswith advisor questionsresearchescompensation delays related to licensing and registration issues and helps resolve data discrepancies and disputesregardinglicensing status effective dates and compensation eligibility.
Human Resources and Payroll
This role partners with Payroll and Human Resources teams to investigate and resolve compensation and paycheck-related inquiries. Many advisor questions require coordination between Field Compensation and Payroll to ensureaccurateandtimelyresolution.
New Business Team and Case Managers
This role works regularly with the New Business Team and Case Managers to address compensation impacts resulting from processing exceptions operational issues or transaction coding concerns. Collaboration helps ensure transactions are codedcorrectlyand compensation is calculated accurately while also resolving advisor inquiries and exceptions.
Brokerage Team
This role partners with Brokerage to support advisor training and licensing requirements as well as to research and resolve missing or incorrect compensation transactions related to brokerage business.
Mutual Fund Customer Service
This role collaborates with Mutual Fund Customer Service representatives to investigate advisor inquiriesregardingmissing compensation payments payment calculations and transaction-related compensation concerns.
Life Contract Change Team
This role works closely with the Life Contract Change team to resolve compensation issuesimpactingadvisors and to process manual compensation situations resulting from policy changes contract updates and other servicing activities.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Required:
High School diploma.
1 to 2 years related work experience.
Excellent analytical problemsolvingand decision-making skills.
Comfort in interpreting and applying general program guidelines.
Strong data entry skills.
Comfort with Microsoft Office programs including Excel.
Ability tofacilitateand respond effectively to customer inquiries.
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidentialcontroversialand sensitive interactions with field members.
Ability to work independently at times in a fast-paced high-volume environment driven by payday deadlines.
Ability to effectively navigate through various mainframe and LAN based systems including the Customer Information File Thrivents Imagesystemand the compensation system.
Preferred:
Understanding ofthe Thrivent Financial field revenue program.
Understanding ofthe Thrivent Financial product portfolio including non-proprietary products.
