Fiberglass Technician 1

The Fiberglass Technician performs various skills on varying items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hand laminating working a chopper gun and rolling out fiberglass materials.
• Vacuum forms and bonds plastics such as ABS kydex polycarb and plex Ability to grind fiberglass With power hand tools both In shop and on Rides.
• Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces. Such as install various seatbelts and change out upholstery.
• Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to prepare a pattern and pull a tool or a part Ability to assemble and install fabricated pans.
• Basic knowledge of plastic materials adhesive and fasteners.
• Four-year experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating Good mechanical skills
• Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Level 1: Applies general skills and some experience
• Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3 years of experience
• Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5 years of experience
• Level 4: Applies expert level of knowledge skills with 7 years of experience
