Federal Work-Study (FWS) Student Assistant

The College of Behavioral & Community Sciences Deans Office is seeking a dependable organized and customer-focused Federal Work-Study (FWS) Student Assistant to provide administrative and operational support in a professional office environment. This position plays an important role in maintaining daily office operations assisting faculty staff and visitors and supporting special projects across multiple departments.

Responsibilities:

• Sorting and distributing mail receiving and delivering packages maintaining office equipment and supplies running campus errands using a golf cart (training provided if needed).
• Keeping shared workspaces clean and organized.
• Additional duties include organizing supply areas maintaining common spaces supporting document shredding and recycling and assisting with routine office upkeep.
• Student assistants will also contribute to a variety of projects such as preparing thank-you letters organizing digital files and assisting with communications technology inventory and other departmental initiatives as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Students must have been awarded Federal Work Study for the school year and be available to work on campus.
• Work schedules will be developed collaboratively with the supervisor and will vary based on student availability and school schedules.
• Reliable professional and willing to learn new skills able to manage multiple tasks communicates professionally and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills strong organizational abilities and a willingness to assist with a variety of office responsibilities are essential.
