Family Service & Enrollment CoordinatorHead Start Program Full-Time/Non-Exempt
The Head Start Family Service & Enrollment Coordinator serves as one of the first connections families make with the program helping them access early childhood education supportive services and community resources. The position plays a key role in recruiting enrolling and supporting eligible children and families ensuring compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and maintaining accurate records. To succeed in this role the coordinator should possess a combination of educational background technical skills interpersonal abilities and program-specific competencies. and is a key position on the Head Start Program Management Team.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse families using a strengths-based approach to support their goals.
Strong communication skills to explain enrollment processes requirements and program benefits.
Ability to verify documentation and ensure program compliance with performance standards.
Patience empathy and professionalism when dealing with families navigating complex enrollment processes.
Ability to resolve issues and guide families through forms screenings and follow-up steps.
Ability to interpret and employ processes that support compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead recruitment eligibility selection and enrollment to maintain full Head Start enrollment.
Help families identify goals address barriers and access resources.
Provide family engagement and case management that supports childrens education health social development and family well-being.
Coordinate outreach and collaborate with team members and community partners.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Head Start enrollment requirements.
Bachelors degree in Social Work Human Development Family Services or a closely related field.
Three years of experience working with children and families; willingness to obtain Family Service Credential.
Experience with administrative support community outreach early childhood programs case management and data systems for tracking progress is preferred.
Must be bondable insurable and possess a valid drivers license.
