Job Description
What You Will Be Doing
  • Argue contested hearings temporary orders hearings and family law trials.
  • Lead mediations and adversarial settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony.
  • Develop litigation strategies and take over matters when negotiations fail.
  • Review and revise motions pleadings and responses prepared by the drafting/paralegal team.
  • Guide clients through court appearances with a trauma-informed and client-centered approach.
  • Serve as the lead courtroom advocate while leveraging internal support teams for drafting intake and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with dedicated paralegals responsible for exhibit binders trial notebooks and hearing preparation.

Experience You Will Need
  • Active Texas Bar license or documented reciprocity process underway.
  • Minimum 3 years of family law litigation experience; OR
  • 5 years of civil litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in transitioning into family law.
  • Strong courtroom experience handling contested hearings motions mediations and/or trials.
  • Experience taking depositions and preparing witnesses.
  • Ability to manage emotionally sensitive matters with professionalism and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong advocacy negotiation and litigation strategy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in high-conflict situations.
