ADL Fall 2026 Internship Description

ADLs Santa Barbara/Tri-Counties Regional Operationsteam is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from September 14 2026 through December 18 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience with community outreach internet research written advocacy and database management. Our Regional Operations internship provides the opportunity for students to gain practical experience working directly with the Regional Director to gain first-hand knowledge about work in the areas of community outreach and program development. The focus will be heavily on projects involving research reporting advocacy and newsletter writing; planning and attending meetings; and event planning.

Application portals will close at 12PM ET on August 14th 2026. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-August.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Under the guidance and supervision of the Regional Director research and plan incident response
  • Plan and participate in community outreach event planning and board meetings/events
  • Research and recruit existing or potential community partners interested in ADL programs
  • Draft and compile written materials for programs events and presentations.
  • Managing the Regional Operations calendar expenses and budget.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for non-profit work
  • Desire to start building a career within the non-profit sector

Compensation and Hours

  • This internship is paid local minimum wage or $15/hr (whichever is higher).
  • The internship is 15 hours per week.
  • This internship will be hybrid with on-site presence required in Santa Barbara California.

  • You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
  • You will have practical hands-on experience with community stakeholder engagement program development budget management and leadership through advocacy.
  • Collaborate with meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.
