Job Summary

General Summary of Position:

The Department of Environmental Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for Adjunct Professors (standard teaching load 1-2 courses per semester). The successful candidates will be expected to begin work in September 2026 and assist in teaching courses focused on geology and environmental science.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have earned an MS or PhD degree in Geology Environmental Science or closely related disciplines

Additional Considerations:

  • College-level teaching experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly
  • Ability to work effectively with students faculty and diverse populations
