  • Maine Public is seeking a full-time Facility Manager to manage and oversee work related to the operation and safety of our new Portland building and grounds! This position coordinates across multiple departments and manages vendor and external relationships with the goal of maintaining a safe comfortable and professional facility. The Facility Manager will be an important resource in developing how the facility furthers community engagement in Maine Publics strategic plan and will oversee events and community engagement activities at the Portland location.

    As a statewide nonprofit network for public radio and public television we are building for the future and creating a new center with modern studios for Maine Public Radio Maine Public Classical and much of the networks news operation. The venue will include space for music performances speakers screenings and partnerships with civic organizations.

    Job Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; five years related experience in events and venue management and facilities management; excellent communication skills; and a valid drivers license.

    Preferred Experience: Experience in supervision of staff budget development recordkeeping and negotiating with and managing vendors preferred.
