Facility Maintenance Technician

The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking a full-time FacilityMaintenance Technicianto oversee the maintenance repair and overall upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring our buildings remain safe clean functional and welcoming for staff clients residents and visitors. The Facility Maintenance Technician coordinates preventative maintenance manages repairs and improvement projects and helps maintain a secure and well-maintained environment that supports the YWCAs mission and daily operations.

Position Details:

• Hours: 37.5 hour work week; Monday-Friday 8am-4pm; some on-call as needed.
• Salary: $45000/yr.

Successful Candidates Will:

• Monitorrepairs and maintenance of building equipment and systems including but not limited to: HVAC water electric emergency generators fire alarms etc.
• Reviewfacilities to ensure they meet all building codes and standards and securing all facility-related permits licenses and inspections.
• Assistwith contractor quotes as directed.
• EnsureYWCA facilities and equipment provide a quality safe environment.
• Completework orders for routine maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate and monitor regular inspections of the facility (including fire alarms safety equipment elevators etc.) to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of repairs maintenance schedules and compliance checks.
• Coordinate and conduct landscaping and groundskeeping activities including lawn care snow removal and trash disposal to ensure that the exterior of the building is well-maintained year-round.
• Ensure proper maintenance of outdoor equipment and fixtures (e.g. parking lots signage lighting).

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance property management or a related field.
• Knowledge of building systems (HVAC plumbing electrical) and grounds maintenance.
• Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance standards (OSHA ADA fire codes etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).
• Valid drivers license insurance and clean drivers history.
• Must be able to provide Child Abuse State Police and FBI clearances.
