Facility & Ground Maintenance Specialist

SUMMARY:We are seeking a Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Specialist to ensure a clean and safe environment through custodial duties grounds upkeep and basic maintenance. The role requires teamwork and flexibility to support various tasks while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Custodial Duties:Perform daily cleaning of manufacturing floors including sweeping scrubbing and removing debris to maintain a safe and clean environmentClean walls handrails walkways and other areas as directed to ensure cleanliness and functionalityPerform touch-up painting and cosmetic improvements on floors walls and other facility areasMonitor and clean water buildup around silos and other equipmentMonitor breakroom equipment including appliances coffee machines and other items for proper function and perform maintenance as requiredBackup Day Porter duties as neededGrounds Maintenance:Maintain the grounds surrounding the facility by mowing lawns trimming shrubs and removing weeds to keep the property orderly. Remove leaves debris snow and ice from walkways and building entrances to ensure safe access to the facility. Apply ice-melt or salt as necessary to maintain safety in winter conditions Winter hours will be flexible due to snow eventsBasic Maintenance:Assist in moving and arranging equipment furniture and other items as needed throughout the facilityAssist in perform light facilities maintenance and repairs as neededReport malfunctioning equipment safety hazards or required repairs to the Facilities Manager for prompt in minor carpentry tasks such as repairing walls ceilings or doors as neededTeamwork and Flexibility:Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values through daily actions and interactionsMay be called upon to perform additional duties of a related nature or assist other areas as neededEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Pursuing high school diploma or GEDHigh school diploma or GEDKNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without close supervision. Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions. Ability to work with high level of confidentiality. Capacity to be flexible and multitask. Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office.
