Position Overview:

The Facility Custodian is responsible for maintaining RACS facilities and grounds in a clean safe and professional condition for clients visitors and staff. Working independently with minimal supervision this position performs a variety of custodial and light maintenance duties including cleaning sanitizing waste removal and furniture relocation. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative sound judgment attention to detail reliability and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while handling responsibilities with professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• One to three years of custodial janitorial facilities maintenance or related experience required.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of a daily custodial workload including standing walking bending lifting carrying and other routine maintenance activities.
• Working knowledge of custodial cleaning methods sanitation practices and facility maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals products tools and equipment including proper handling storage and safety protocols.
• Ability to identify and perform minor building repairs and maintenance tasks and report larger issues as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work professionally within a behavioral healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities work assignments and scheduling needs.
• Reliable self-motivated and able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean safe and welcoming environment.
