Allen Correctional Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facility Asst. Maintenance Manager A that will be responsible for managing the Maintenance Foreman. The incumbent of this position will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with major maintenance projects preventative maintenance schedules maintenance budget meet with architects and engineers and other duties as assigned.

- Minimum Qualifications
- Four years of experience in the building construction trade building construction building maintenance or road or bridge construction or maintenance; OR
Completion of a two-year training program in general building construction construction technology or engineering plus two years of experience in the building construction trade building construction building maintenance or road or bridge construction or maintenance; OR
Twelve semester hours in a construction field or engineering plus two years of experience in the building construction trade building construction building maintenance or road or bridge construction or maintenance. - Job Specification

- Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Assist in planning coordinating and supervising daily maintenance operations across the facility.
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for buildings equipment and utility systems.
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with safety standards security protocols and facility policies.
- Support supervision and training of maintenance staff inmate workers and contracted service providers.
- Conduct inspections to identify repair needs and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain maintenance records work orders and inventory of tools supplies and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and support operational continuity during critical incidents.
- Collaborate with facility leadership to prioritize projects and support long-term infrastructure planning.

Appointment Type:PROBATION or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
- Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
- An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
