Our Phoenix AZ training center location is seeking a Facilities Support team member. Facility responsibilities may include cleaning grounds-keeping packing and moving office furniture and/or equipment and handling all work by-products in offices. May support simple projects spot painting and/or light construction. Liaises with contractors on-site and works with the City of Phoenix for all job permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily completion of drywall painting carpentry flooring masonry plumbing electrical mechanical HVAC and grounds maintenance including mowing sprinkler system repair and snow removal. On-call 24/7.

  • Schedule and oversee external contractors managing their activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

  • Obtain competitive bids for future projects equipment procurement and contracted services optimizing cost-efficiency.

  • Review invoices for accuracy and approved payments maintaining financial accountability.

  • Ensured the proper functioning of all utilities guaranteeing a smooth operational environment.

  • Develop and implement effective preventative maintenance procedures to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets contributing to cost-effective operations.

  • Manage equipment and supplies procurement while monitoring inventory levels to minimize shortages.

  • Oversee insurance claims related to buildings and grounds streamlining the claims process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant facilities maintenance building operations or facilities management experience.

  • Experience maintaining commercial building systems and coordinating contractor activities.

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following trades: drywall painting carpentry flooring masonry plumbing electrical mechanical HVAC or grounds maintenance.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree 2-year technical degree or equivalent technical training in a related field.

  • Experience managing facilities within an aviation training commercial industrial or similar environment.

  • Experience coordinating permits and regulatory requirements for facility projects.

  • Experience supporting facilities budgets procurement activities and inventory management.

  • Experience overseeing external contractors and service providers.
