Job Summary

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Environmental Services is seeking a Facilities Services Coordinator to be responsible for facilities services operations and for coordinating facilities services activities to provide a physical environment that promotes institutional excellence. Provides leadership and/or supervision and resources as required.

Duties to include:

  • Lead and supervise a team of approximately 2030 EVS technicians

  • Oversee delivery of EVS services within assigned areas of responsibility

  • Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations for team members

  • Perform Nurse Manager rounding to ensure service quality and collaboration

  • Participate in Environment of Care and Compliance team rounding activities

  • Ensure staff adherence to established policies and procedures

  • Respond promptly to concerns service requests and complaints

  • Facilitate and lead formal monthly staff meetings

  • Conduct investigations and administer disciplinary actions when necessary

  • Complete performance appraisals

  • Provide coaching and performance management for underperforming staff

Percent of Time: 100%

Schedule:4:00pm - 1:00am Monday - Friday

Location: Main University Campus

Pay Grade:11

    • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
    • Three years supervisory and facilities management experience
    • Possession of appropriate drivers license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
