Job Duties

To enhance the correctional programs of the Commonwealth of Virginia by operating a viable business entity that provides jobs and work skills for sentenced offenders to help them successfully re-enter society and offers quality goods and services to our customers on time and at a fair price.

To provide oversight and management of agency wide facility management of buildings assets machinery vehicles and headquarters building security supporting the CEO and senior management.

Probationary Period: If hired by VCE you will start or restart a 12 month probationary period. This is for all New Hires Transfers returning State Employees.

Minimum Qualifications

Considerable experience working in a multi-site industrial operation. Experience with maintenance and accountability for equipment machinery and structures and building security and safety systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Word Outlook and Excel. Ability to work independently to resolve problems and perform effectively and efficiently in complex work situations and within extensive procedural or regulatory requirements. Valid VA Drivers license.

Additional Considerations

Certification for forklift Industrial powered lift equipment HVAC Plumbing and electrical repairs/installation. Experience with computerized maintenance tracking system such as TMS (Total Maintenance System).
