The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician
to join its Facilities organization to support repairs and maintenance. This position conducts routine periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdown of facilities machinery and equipment. This position tests inspects troubleshoots and repairs machines and equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Technician works closely with various Facilities departments to provide seamless operations excellent customer service and a productive work environment.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our campus facility in El Segundo California.
What Youll Be Doing
- Repairs and services mechanical and building equipment.
- Completes service requests and preventative maintenance works orders.
- Acquires maintenance bids and performs maintenance walks.
- Analyzes repair programs; coordinates performance of modifications installations and repair work with building contractors and sub-contractors.
- Uses blueprints sketches layouts wiring diagrams drawings and specifications in support of work activity.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Facilities Maintenance Technician II
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years of relevant experience
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems
- Ability to work under minimal supervision to self-initiate activities and to work within timelines
In addition to the above the minimum requirements for Facilities Maintenance Technician III include:
- Six or more years of relevant experience
