Facilities Maintenance – Journeyman Electrician

Were looking for a Journeyman Electrician who will be essential to keeping our facilities running smoothly and this role youll apply your electrical expertise to maintain and repair critical systems across our locations. This position combines hands-on technical work with problem-solving opportunities that challenge and develop your skills. Youll work independently while being part of a collaborative team that supports one another. Your work will directly impact the experience of thousands of customers and associates every day.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety proper functionality and aesthetics of facilities equipment or fixtures by following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines; inspecting cleaning and repairing facilities equipment or fixtures; observing and documenting signs of wear and tear; gathering capital expense information; recommending repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs; determining replacement needs; and documenting preventive maintenance activities. 
   
• Performs major and minor repairs on facilities equipment or fixtures by utilizing multiple craft skills (for example plumbing electrical carpentry material handling equipment food equipment); inspecting operating or testing facilities equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues; dismantling equipment machines or facilities to access and remove defective parts; diagnose problems utilizing blueprints repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizing hand tools power tools hoists and other equipment; providing prompt response to emergency calls; and documenting repair activities. 
   
• Manages work orders maintenance schedules and contractors by completing and providing required written and electronic information (for example expense vouchers weekly summaries work orders maintenance logs); conducting price comparison of parts and travel related costs; ordering parts and replacement equipment and tracking orders; recording purchases and usage; submitting warranty claims; complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines; ensuring quality work is completed that complies with federal state and local regulations; ensuring contractors follow Walmart quality standards safety requirements and meet contract requirements; identifying and reporting deficiencies; unloading and storing equipment; and transporting equipment between facilities. 
   
• Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources information and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice feedback and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges. 
   
• Develops communicates and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers co-workers customers and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. 
   
• Demonstrates promotes and supports compliance with company policies procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining guiding and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems. 

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in the electrical trade
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in state that you will be working.
• Valid Drivers License.
• Eligible for a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
• Intermediate level functionality of word processing spreadsheet email and presentation software (for example Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
• License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
