The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Engineer to join our growing this role you will play a key part in ensuring the safe reliable and efficient operation of our oil and gas facilities.
Location This is a hybrid position based out of our Morgantown West Virginia office. You will be expected to work in the office three days a week. Additionally this role requires a hands-on presence where the action happens. Candidates must be able and willing to travel to field sites up to 40% of the time to maintain a consistent field presence provide support for field operations and bridge the gap between corporate engineering design and field execution.
What You Will Be Doing:
Provide technical expertise for the design modification and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities.
Perform engineering calculations analyses and troubleshooting to identify and resolve operational issues.
Develop and review engineering drawings and specifications.
Support project teams with technical expertise during facility construction commissioning and turnaround activities.
Oversee project budget schedule and provide update reports to key members of management.
Manage and participate in facility inspections ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations maintenance and procurement to optimize facility performance.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulations and stay up to date with new technologies.
Your Background:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Petroleum Civil or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Proven experience in facilities engineering design or maintenance for wet gas and condensate systems.
Working knowledge of engineering principles codes and standards (e.g. API ASME DPT PHMSA).
Proficiency in AutoCAD ProMax or similar engineering design software.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Ability to meet specific deadlines based on department needs and work with minimal supervision.
Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Extremely team-oriented with strong oral and written skills to convey information clearly and persuasively.
Results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
Must be able to performlight work exerting up to 20pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
See hear talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel sit stand walk crouch stoop reach pull push and other similar repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
