Job Summary
SUMMARY
The Fabricator I supports fabrication operations through material preparation assembly and basic fitting activities while learning structural steel fabrication processes.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read basic fabrication drawings.
- Perform material preparation grinding and hand torch coping.
- Assist with assembly and tack welding.
- Perform MIG FCAW SMAW
- Tack Weld AWS D1.1. D1.5 standards. (1F 2F)
- Kit and organize fabrication components.
- Operate basic fabrication equipment.
- Maintain work area organization and safety.
Successful candidates will have:
- Ability to successfully complete inhouse training of AISC Fundamentals Training (FD-01 through FD-15).
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to use measuring tools accurately.
