Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our fabrication shop team. The ideal candidate will have experience welding and fabricating metal components according to drawings and specifications. This position offers steady work a team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth.
- Perform welding and fabrication using MIG TIG and/or Stick processes
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and work orders
- Cut fit and assemble metal components
- Operate shop equipment safely (grinders saws presses etc.)
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Assist with loading/unloading materials as needed
- Previous welding or fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable punctual and team-oriented
- CDL (Commercial Drivers License) is a plus but not required
- Forklift or overhead crane experience
- Welding certifications

Required Skills:
Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or a related field required. Masters degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive construction management experience. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within the structural steel industry. Proven success managing large-scale commercial industrial or infrastructure steel projects. Technical Expertise Extensive knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection practices. Strong understanding of structural systems welding procedures bolting requirements and steel construction methodologies. Comprehensive knowledge of construction codes industry standards and safety regulations. Proficiency with construction management and design software including: Procore Primavera P6 AutoCAD Tekla Structures BIM platforms and related technologies Leadership Competencies Exceptional leadership communication and relationship-building skills. Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated success leading large multidisciplinary teams. Excellent organizational planning and financial management capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Education:
