Fabrication Shop Manager

We are seeking a Fabrication Shop Manager to lead piping fabrication and skid assembly operations within a fabrication shop this role you will plan coordinate and supervise shop activities to ensure projects are executed safely on schedule within budget and in compliance with applicable codes standards and quality requirements. You will lead shop personnel manage resources and drive continuous improvement across fabrication operations.

What You Will Do

• Plan schedule and oversee piping fabrication and skid assembly activities to meet production targets and project deadlines.
• Interpret isometric drawings P&IDs specifications and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Coordinate with engineering procurement quality and project management teams to support execution.
• Monitor work progress and adjust manpower equipment and materials as needed.
• Enforce company and regulatory safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct toolbox talks safety briefings and incident investigations.
• Ensure fabrication meets drawings specifications and customer requirements.
• Coordinate inspections NDE activities dimensional checks and pressure testing.
• Supervise foremen welders fitters material handlers QAQC project management and support staff.
• Control material flow scrap rework and fabrication costs while supporting productivity improvements.
• Provide production manpower and status reports and communicate risks and mitigation plans to management.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and 5S efforts.

Position Details

• Travel: Minimal travel expected for meetings and training.
• Based out of our Fabrication Shop in Chandler AZ.

Minimum Qualifications

• 57 years of experience in piping fabrication and skid assembly.
• 35 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within fabrication operations.
• Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications ERP systems Autodesk and Navisworks.
