Extrusion Press Cell Production D Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements
Support the companys key corporate values objectives and strategies
Cross-train in as many functions in the department as possible
Understand and verify manufacturing orders in order to identify internal and customer specifications
Conduct all processes and procedures in accordance with department key measures
Ensure all quality practices are being followed accurately and efficiently
Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize sustain sort set in order and shine)
Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction
OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job)
Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education:
ï High school diploma or equivalent degree
2. Experience:
ï 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred
3. Other required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
ï Basic computer skills (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint)
ï Ability to recognize safety concerns
ï Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment per designated area
ï A highly motivated self-starter
ï Basic math skills
ï Ability to read die drawings and inspect parts and surface finish according to customer specifications
ï Ability to effectively work in a team environment
ï Ability to take part in additional training i.e. Extrusion 101
ï Ability to perform and assist with preventive maintenance
ï Strong communication skills problem solver multi-tasker
ï Ability to properly identify materials

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.60. There is an additional $5.00 per hour shift differential. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location.
