Summary of Job Duties:
The Extra Help/Athletics Marketing Associate position supports the athletics marketing team with game-day operations promotions and fan engagement initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in sports marketing event presentation and customer engagement within a fast-paced athletics environment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a collegiate athletic department or setting


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Game-Day Operations & Promotions

  • Assist with setup execution and breakdown of marketing and promotional elements at athletic events;
  • Help run in-game promotions contests giveaways and on-field/on-court activities;
  • Support event presentation including music cues timing and fan interaction.

Fan Engagement & Outreach

  • Interact with fans to promote a positive game-day experience;
  • Assist with community outreach events campus activations and tabling efforts;
  • Support student engagement initiatives and theme nights.

Administrative & General Support

  • Assist with inventory management of promotional items and marketing equipment;
  • Help with signage setup distribution of giveaways and promotional displays;
  • Complete additional marketing-related tasks as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience in all platforms of social media management;
  • Experience writing press releases;
  • Ability to fill a variety of game day roles;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Video/photography skills a plus;
  • Ability to work nights and weekends;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team-oriented fast paced environment.
