Job Type Description

A vacancy exists for up to two (2) special education multi-categorical with Autism teacher based upon student enrollment/needs for the Special Education FOCUS Extended School Year Program at Tuscarora Elementary School. The successful applicants will teach personal/social skills self-help daily living academic/cognitive/ language ne and gross motor skills. Applicants will provide instructional services to primary/intermediate age special education students in the areas described above as listed as critical skills on the students IEPs. Qualications include West Virginia teacher certication in multi-categorical with Autism K-12 or behavior disorders including autism K-12.

Salary Schedule

Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale based upon degree level and veried years of experience.

Qualications Requirements

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and demonstrate the knowledge and ability to be a qualied and eective candidate for the vacancy.
• Holds or can obtain West Virginia Teacher certication in pre-school special needs.
• Ability to collaborate with others and work closely with the Countys Pre-K program director and sta parents/guardians classroom aides Pre-K team at the school and other pertinent personnel in order to best meet the needs of students. Professional traits such as strong
• organization skills exibility patience and personal responsibility are important to be a successful. Eective verbal and written skills and interpersonal skills are required.
