Veterinary Technician Responsibilites:

As a Veterinary Technician you will play a critical role in patient care and daily hospital operations including:
  • Intravenous (IV) catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Administering medications (IV SQ oral and prescribed treatments)
  • Assisting with digital radiography and diagnostic imaging
  • Performing laboratory diagnostics including blood urine and fecal testing
  • Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients
  • Assisting veterinarians with examinations and treatments
  • Client communication education and treatment plan discussions
  • Admitting and discharging patients
  • Managing patient records and invoicing
  • Supporting surgical and dental procedures as needed
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and patient care documentation

Veterinary Technician Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
  • Strong technical and patient care skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced veterinary environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of previous veterinary technician experience
  • Externship or hands-on clinical experience
  • Passion for continued learning and professional development
