Experienced Maintenance Mechanic (Full-time Days)

Summary: Perform general maintenance duties and assist with emergent weather conditions.

Reports To: Facilities Supervisor Director of Facility Services

Titles Supervised: N/A

Shift/Hours: 7am-3pm 37.5 hrs./week

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
2. Perform preventative maintenance.
3. Handle basic repairs and maintenance.
4. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them.
5. Repair machines equipment or structures as necessary.
6. Work on ladders.
7. Snow removal required.
8. Perform jobs as required by work orders in a safe and timely manner.
9. Assist in all emergency matters ranging from fire safety procedure to on call service.
10. Willing to learn to operate different equipment such as snowplow spreader and John Deere bucket loaders.
11. Comply with all company safety regulations.
12. Be able to perform with minimal supervision.
13. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED Trade School preferred or knowledge of the trades equivalent to 4 years vocational school training

Experience: 1-2 years of related experience is required

Licensure: CT State Motor Vehicle Drivers License

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines; Ability to read and communicate effectively.
