Experienced Line Technician Poway Honda

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

Salary: $35 - $55 / flat hour based on experience and certifications

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose inspect and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Perform work outlined on repair orders including complex diagnostics and repairs while maintaining quality and productivity expectations.

Identify additional safety maintenance or repair needs and communicate findings clearly with the Service Advisor.

Road-test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure proper vehicle operation.

Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostic findings repairs and parts used.

Collaborate with Service Advisors Parts and other technicians to complete repairs efficiently and meet customer expectations.

Support and mentor apprentice and developing technicians as assigned; share technical knowledge and best practices.

Stay current on manufacturer training technical bulletins diagnostic procedures safety requirements and applicable federal state and local regulations.

Master Technician Additional Responsibility

Serve as a technical resource for the team by assisting with complex diagnostics difficult repairs and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications :

       High CSI is a must.

       ASE or manufacturing training.

       High school diploma or the equivalent.

       Valid drivers license and a good driving record.

       Manual dexterity.

       Good Judgment.

       All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks MVR drug test and valid driver license.
