The Role:

Expedition Medicines is seeking a hands-onVice President of Finance with deepexperienceinprivate biotech companies runningboth pre-clinical and clinical programs. The ideal candidatebrings strong financeexpertise technical and operational accounting depth proven leadership and a demonstrated ability to build and deploy strategic finance processesat scale. This individual must be comfortable working independently in a resource-constrained environment whileoverseeing a lean financeand accountingfunctionand alsoprovidingstrategic financial guidance to the executive team.

The Vice President of Finance willoverseeall aspects of accounting financial operations and compliance while contributing meaningfully to corporate strategy and long-term planning. This is a key leadership roleand is the primary steward ofthe companysfinancial strategy discipline systems and governance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manageall accounting operations financial reporting and internal controls; ensure compliance with GAAP andapplicable regulations manage monthlyquarterlyand annual close processesandtax and regulatory filings;initiate/lead financial statement audits

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and refine the companys financial strategy and long-term operating plan; provide scenario modelingwithinbudgets forecastsandlong-range planning modelsand deliver capital allocation recommendations; support fundraising investor relationsand board-level financial reporting

• Implement andmaintaininnovative and scalable accounting and financial systemsprocessesand tools; oversee cash flow management including tracking of R&D expenses collaboration budgets and operational spend and lead implementation of accounting and finance systems independent from the Flagship ecosystem

• Manage external vendors auditors accounting consultants tax advisors and payroll providers holding them to scope budget and timeline

• Deploy AI accelerators across finance operations to improve speed accuracy and analytical capacity

Qualifications:

Essential

• 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience including senior leadership roles

• Proventrack recordin a private life sciences/biotech companythrough growth and successful inflection points

• Strong understanding of GAAP and biotech-specific accounting issues including R&D accruals intercompany transactions andcollaborationaccounting

• Experienceinleadingfinancialreportingbudgetingand long-range planning processes

• Experienceandcomfortas an individual contributor as well as leading small teamsincludingexternal vendors

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

Desirable

• CPA or MBA strongly preferred

• Experience supporting fundraising activities (venture capital crossover IPO readiness)

• Understanding of and interest inutilizingAI and automation for finance

• Familiarity with biopharma collaboration accounting and reporting as well as cost modeling forR&Dprograms

The salary range for this role is $275000 - $330000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors including a candidates qualifications skills competencies and experience. Expedition Medicines currently offers healthcare coverage annual incentive program retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
