Salary: $135000 - $170000 annually
Job Summary:
Responsible for Laradon fund and business development through the execution of Philanthropy and Communicationsprograms including a five year development plan annual giving planned giving major gifts estate planning and capital campaigns as well as donor cultivation grant applications and fundraising events. Working closely with the CEO this professional is responsible for the annual budget and the annual development plan.

Job Summary:

Working closely with the CEO this professional is responsible for the annual budget and the annual development plan.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing maintaining and cultivating all foundation board and donor relationships.
- Responsible for the creation of a five year development plan its execution including strategic planning goal setting goal attainment and related community activity
- Organizes administers staffs and documents all activities of foundation business including Board meetings Board committee meetings and Board education.
- Fully literate on capabilities of both computer and word processing functions.
- Responsible for all foundation communications including published reports case statements donor cultivation and thank yous.
- Responsible for all activities of donor and prospect research including grants and proposals.
- Generates reports and information for media releases and publication on a timely and accurate basis.
- Responsible for all activities of board relations board development and board meeting preparation.
- Works collaboratively throughout the Laradon organization to coordinate events tours publications and donor relations.
- Attends appropriate Laradon events and serves as a community liaison.
- Maintains confidentiality of Laradon client participant and family information
- Establishes policies and procedures for the Philanthropy and Communications team
- Supervises the financial record keeping in coordination with the Laradon Chief Financial Officer including financial reports ledger and audits.
- Develops and coordinates the annual budget within the Laradon guidelines and operates within Laradon budgetary guidelines.
Minimum TrainingRequirements:
- All trainings deemed mandatory by Laradon.
- BA/BS degree and five to seven years of experience inmarketing sales business development and fundraising.
- Background in annual giving planned giving estate planning capital campaign and donor recognition programs.
- Experience working with boards volunteers and donors.
- Maintain current knowledge of all trends and legal requirements.
- Knowledge of metro Denver philanthropic community and philanthropic organizations
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Appropriate knowledge of financial tools including planned giving instruments
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate with other management staff board committee members volunteers and consultants.
- Strong oral and written and communication skills.
- Must present a professional appearance.
- Ability to build rapport with donors volunteers and the public with diplomacy discretion and a customer service orientation.
- Must develop strong working relationships across the Laradon organization.
