The Opportunity:

The Washington State University Division of Academic Engagement & Student Achievement (DAESA) are now accepting applications for an Executive Director of University-Wide Advising. In this role you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for undergraduate academic advising across WSU campuses. As the Executive Director of University Advising you will coordinate system-wide efforts within the institutions new Shared Advising Model. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality equitable and student-centered advising services that support student success retention and timely graduation for a diverse undergraduate student population dispersed across six campuses. You will collaborate with academic departments colleges campuses student services areas and university leadership to implement best practices and continuous improvement in advising.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime exempt.

Monthly Salary: $8338.26 to $10 828.91 Commensurate with experience and qualifications

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a relevant field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible relevant experience which has included at least three (3) years of managerial experience. A Masters degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Education and experience can be tailored to fit the specific organizational entity/directorial assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate in a related field.

• Experience in a shared advising model at a research university.

• Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and university-wide initiatives.
