Job Summary

Warren Consolidated Schools is seeking candidates for the following position for the 2026-2027 school year:

Primary Function

The job of the Executive Director of Operations and Information Technology was established for the purpose of directing and managing non-instructional operations of the District including facilities custodial services transportation food service and oversight of information technology services; providing leadership for the planning coordination and evaluation of operational systems and support services; and ensuring that District facilities resources systems and operational functions effectively support the educational mission of Warren Consolidated Schools.

Chief Officer of Employee and Fiscal Services

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors degree in communications public relations marketing journalism or a related field required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated success in public relations communications marketing community engagement or a closely related field required.
  • Previous experience in a school district preferred.
  • Experience writing and producing publications newsletters press releases website content and other communications for print digital and media distribution required.
  • Experience planning and promoting events campaigns and community outreach initiatives preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilites

  • Attends meetings conferences and training sessions as assigned for the purpose of gathering and sharing information supporting District operational objectives and ensuring compliance with District state and federal requirements.
  • Collaborates with District personnel outside agencies community organizations and other stakeholders for the purpose of implementing maintaining and improving operational services programs and partnerships.
  • Collaborates with Information Technology staff and District leadership on technology planning infrastructure improvements system implementation cybersecurity awareness and operational support priorities for the purpose of maintaining reliable secure and effective technology services across the District.
  • Conducts periodic reviews and analyses of facility usage rental rates for the purpose of ensuring that fees charged are appropriate equitable and sufficient to recover District costs associated with building use.
  • Develops long- and short-term operational plans programs and departmental budgets for the purpose of maintaining efficient and effective operations aligning resources with District priorities and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Develops implements and maintains policies procedures certifications safety protocols and training requirements related to operations and facilities for the purpose of promoting safe compliant and efficient management of District operations and support services.
  • Directs develops and evaluates non-instructional administrative staff including conducting periodic assessments of job assignments and responsibilities for the purpose of enhancing staff productivity improving operational efficiencies and ensuring alignment with District objectives.
  • Facilitates regular team meetings with appropriate personnel for the purpose of promoting effective communication coordinating operational priorities supporting problem-solving and providing professional growth and development opportunities.
  • Incorporates periodic reviews inspections work tasks and compliance requirements into the Districts electronic scheduling and work order systems for the purpose of ensuring that required inspections preventive maintenance activities recurring tasks and operational responsibilities are completed in a timely and documented manner.
  • Initiates and conducts research on a variety of topics (e.g. products equipment operational guidelines best practices and regulatory requirements) for the purpose of remaining current on industry trends identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing efficient and effective operational practices.
  • Manages all facets of District bond-related construction capital purchases and facility improvement projects including coordination with architects construction managers contractors consultants and other members of the Districts bond team for the purpose of ensuring that capital projects facility needs and long-range infrastructure improvements are properly planned executed and aligned with District priorities.
  • Manages District facility usage including the coordination of internal and external building use and the management of election-related activities for the purpose of maximizing the use of District facilities preventing scheduling conflicts and meeting the needs of schools community groups and outside organizations.
  • Manages the Districts preventive maintenance program including oversight of applicable software systems District staff responsibilities and vendor-performed services for the purpose of of protecting District assets extending the useful life of equipment and facilities reducing emergency repairs and maintaining safe and functional learning and working environments.
  • Oversees the development of capital needs assessments long-range facilities planning and project prioritization for the purpose of identifying current and future facility needs supporting sound planning decisions and maintaining District assets in a safe and effective manner.
  • Oversees the hiring onboarding and retention of departmental personnel for the purpose of recruiting developing and maintaining a high-performing operations team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (e.g. responding to alarm calls and emergency operational matters) for the purpose of ensuring the safe effective and efficient functioning of District operations.
  • Prepares and/or reviews documentation for Board of Education meetings including memos supporting schedules resolutions and related materials for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy completeness and timeliness of information presented for Board consideration.
  • Prepares reports analyses recommendations and other documentation related to operational areas (e.g. utility usage adequacy of custodial coverage by building status of work orders and other departmental metrics) for the purpose of monitoring performance informing decision-making and improving operational effectiveness.
  • Provides oversight for the Information Technology department including coordination with IT leadership and staff regarding technology systems infrastructure service levels and operational priorities for the purpose of ensuring that technology resources effectively support District operations instructional programs communication systems and business functions.
  • Provides oversight of custodial services transportation operations and food service functions for the purpose of ensuring that each operational area is effectively managed adequately staffed fiscally responsible compliant with applicable regulations and responsive to the needs of students staff and families.
  • Supervises and evaluates assigned personnel (e.g. non-instructional administrators clerical staff and other department personnel) for the purpose of ensuring that departmental operations are effectively managed and that individual performance objectives are met.
  • Supervises and evaluates facilities team members including managing tracking and recording building checks and serving as facilities supervisor when needed for the purpose of ensuring the safe efficient and effective operation of District buildings grounds and support services.
  • Works collabortively with labor unions and employee groups for the purpose of purpose of preserving positive labor relationships addressing operational concerns and supporting efficient departmental operations.
