Executive Assistant to the Vice Deans

Position Summary
Hybrid: This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location consistent with System Office policy. UNC -Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. The Executive Assistants (EA) primary responsibility is to provide executive support to the three Vice Deans in the School of Data and Information Sciences ( SDIS ) at UNC -Chapel this role the EA will spend the majority of their time providing high level calendar and operational support to these Vice addition to coordinating the administrative functions related to projects this person will ensure that the assignments requests and commitments of the executives they support are accurate of high quality and deadline driven. The EA may also be responsible for management and triage of email communications for at least two of the three Vice Deans. This person will also work closely with other School leaders and will be the liaison between the executives and University leaders and staff. This individual serves as a key liaison to the Deans Office team communicating helping to align work and ensuring smooth exchange of information and coordination of schedules and priorities. This person will be responsible for independent problem solving answering questions providing information and acting on behalf of the executive(s) when appropriate. The EA must be able to work within a highly functioning team and provide informational support to all team members.
