Join us to make a meaningful impact on students lives and advance your career in a nurturing and forward-thinking Role:The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent operates as a strategic partner to senior leadership exercising a high degree of judgment confidentiality and initiative. This position exists to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Superintendent by managing complex administrative functions providing executive-level support and leading coordination of key internal and external priorities. This is a professional exempt-level role requiring independent decision-making aligned with the goals of NYOS Charter School and the strategic direction of its leadership : Bachelors degree in Administration Business Public Affairs or related field preferred Demonstrated ability to work independently prioritize multiple tasks and make informed decisions with minimal supervision Strong organizational analytical and written communication skills Ability to interpret and manage confidential information and exercise discretion in sensitive matters High proficiency with digital productivity tools (Google Workspace Artificial Intelligence Tools Excel PowerPoint etc.) Experience in executive-level support or school administration Spanish language proficiency preferredEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Executive-Level Administrative Support Serve as the primary point of contact and communication liaison for the Superintendent managing high-level correspondence and ensuring timely follow-up on key matters Anticipate the needs of the Superintendent and proactively align schedules data and deliverables with strategic goals Manage complex scheduling needs across departments identify conflicts and propose high-impact solutions to optimize executive capacity Prepare edit and review high-stakes communication and presentation materials Coordinate travel reimbursements and executive-level event logistics Maintain organized and accessible digital records to ensure institutional continuity and operational efficiency Strategic Project & Initiative Support Lead or assist in the planning and execution of cross-departmental projects that require executive oversight Track milestones and provide reporting on initiatives aligned with organizational goals and board directives Exercise professional judgment in managing workflows prioritizing assignments and advising leadership on potential risks or delays Liaise with internal teams and external partners to coordinate special projects events and organizational initiatives requiring senior input Board and Governance Coordination Collaborate with the Superintendent to ensure Board meetings are prepared and compliant with legal and policy requirements Track training certifications and compliance records for Board Members and key officers Draft compile and disseminate Board meeting packets with minimal directionProfessional Standards: Exercise independent discretion in scheduling document handling and executive communications Uphold the highest level of confidentiality professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions Represent the Superintendent in internal and external settings with integrity and a service-oriented mindset Provide support and guidance to administrative team members and contribute to a high-functioning executive office cultureCompensation and Benefits:NYOS offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience.
