The individual will work in support of the Cancer Center Director to manage programmatic activity. The individual will also support faculty recruitment activities including processing travel expenses arranging travel accommodations communication with faculty candidates. Must have the ability to exercises discretion and independent judgment in significant matters as well as demonstrate advanced problem solving abilities.
Bachelors degree is required with 5 years of relevant job experience required 7 years of relevant job experience preferred.
Project Management Certification preferred.
Job Duties:
Manages programs associated with assigned faculty which include the development administration planning and coordination of all programmatic activities.
Coordinates activities of various departments or personnel within Hillman Cancer Center.
Provides services directly to customers.
Establishes uniform correspondence procedures and style practices. Oversees the creation of relevant work instructions to support the HCC research administration team and other administrative materials as requested.
Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness accuracy and timeliness.
Prepares activity reports for guidance of management.
Performs other related duties as required.
Performs all administrative and operational functions of a program.
Coordinates all program events and personnel and provides services directly to customers.
Develops and implements program policies and procedures.
Job Summary
Serves as the primary support to executive level roles and/or departments and acts as liaison and ensures confidentiality of high-level sensitive information. Manages office workflow. Assists with strategic planning processes and administrative goals and priorities. Prepares budgetary functions and plans special events.
Essential Functions
Must demonstrate the ability to write and speak in public settings as well as ability to communicate with a variety of audiences. Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills are vital.
Strong use of SharePoint and Teams.
Must demonstrate ability to multi-task prioritize to meet deadlines attention to details and accuracy as well as time management skills and follow through.
Physical Effort
Moderate physical effort required. May be required to stand/move for several hours at a time. May be required to move objects up to 50 pounds with or without assistance of equipment.
