Key Responsibilities Employees in theFinancial Institutions ExaminerIIIposition work in a team environment to conduct examinations of depositoryinstitutions (including banks industrial banks and credit unions) todetermine their financial condition and compliance with applicable federaland/or state laws regulations and/or agency rules standards and involve preparing detailed written and verbal reports and includeonsite contact with institution officers directors and employees. ExaminerIIIs may also conduct examinations of money service businesses subject to thedepartments jurisdiction. Examiner IIIs also provide technical expertise in aspecialty area train less-experienced examiners and conduct special projectsfor agency management. This position maybe underfilled as aFinancial Institutions Examiner IIif the applicant:has less than four years of work-related experience has not fully met thefield experience preferences identified below or hasnt been commissioned by astate or federal depository institution regulatory agency. DHRM rules regarding promotions and transfers apply to current state of Utah employees.
Examiners can spend approximately 20 percent of their timetraveling including overnight travel both within and outside the state toperform examinations and to attend training.
Candidates must be residents of the state of Utah. Use of aprivate vehicle subject to reimbursement is required to travel to fieldsites.
Principal Duties
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws regulations and/or agency rules standards and guidelines.
Writing or drafting correspondence examination reports and other types of reports documents and/or other written materials.
