Event Truck Driver

Company: RCX Sports Position Type: Event-Based / Contract Department: Logistics & Event Operations Travel: Required Regional and National Travel Position Overview RCX Sports is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to support the transportation and execution of sporting events throughout the country. This position is responsible for safely transporting company trucks equipment and event assets to and from designated event locations. The driver will also assist with event operations and ensure all materials arrive on time and in excellent condition. The ideal candidate is dependable professional organized comfortable with frequent travel and committed to following all Department of Transportation (DOT) and applicable federal state and local regulations. Key Responsibilities Safely transport RCX Sports equipment event materials and other company assets to and from designated event locations. Operate company vehicles in accordance with all applicable DOT federal state and local regulations. Ensure company assets arrive at designated event locations at least one day prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise directed. Assist with event setup teardown transportation and general event operations as needed. Maintain the company truck and equipment in safe operating condition. Perform or coordinate preventative maintenance when necessary. Conduct appropriate vehicle and equipment inspections before during and after trips. Immediately report any vehicle equipment safety or maintenance concerns to RCX Sports. Maintain a valid drivers license and provide proof of personal automobile insurance when requested. Maintain all licenses certifications permits and other documentation required to legally operate company vehicles and transport company assets. Coordinate travel arrangements with RCX Sports including flights hotels rental vehicles and other accommodations when applicable. Maintain professional communication with RCX Sports staff event personnel vendors and customers. Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety transportation equipment and event operations. Qualifications Valid drivers license with a clean and acceptable driving record. Ability to legally operate the company truck and meet all applicable licensing requirements. Previous commercial box truck straight truck or event logistics driving experience preferred. Strong understanding of safe vehicle operation and transportation procedures. Ability to travel extensively for sporting events. Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends evenings holidays and extended days when required. Reliable punctual and highly responsible. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to safely load unload secure and transport event equipment. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of an event operations team. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment. Compensation $300 per day when driving and assisting with event operations. $150 per day when flying to or departing from an event location. $150 per day for off/in-market days. $50 per diem for each day when driving flying assisting with event operations or on an off/in-market day. Travel accommodations such as flights hotels and rental vehicles coordinated by RCX Sports when applicable. Primary Deliverable Truck Driving & Event Materials Transportation The successful candidate will ensure RCX Sports event equipment and materials are transported safely efficiently and on schedule while supporting the successful execution of events.
