Job Summary
The Role...
Soho House & Co is seeking an experienced and creatively driven Event Producer to develop and deliver a year-round program of distinctive member events across Cities Without Houses markets in North America.
Reporting to the Lead Event Producer North America the Event Producer will manage events from creative ideation through on-site execution and post-event evaluation. The Lead Event Producer reports to the Head of Cities Without Houses North America.
The program may include dinners concerts cultural experiences workshops talks parties member gatherings and partner activations.
This role manages the production process for multiple concurrent events including project planning venue and supplier sourcing creative direction logistics budgets contracts talent requirements event communications and on-site delivery. Working closely with the Lead Event Producer Membership Managers and cross-functional partners the Event Producer will ensure every event supports membership and business goals while delivering a consistently high-quality culturally relevant Soho House member experience.
The role requires excellent judgment strong relationships across the creative and hospitality industries and the ability to work independently in fast-moving live-event environments. Regular travel and flexible working hours including evenings and weekends are required.
This role supports Cities Without Houses markets across North America and must be based in the Central or Eastern time zone.
Key Responsibilities
Event Production and Execution
- Manage the end-to-end production of a diverse program of events across North America under the direction of the Lead Event Producer.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently from initial concept through on-site delivery and post-event evaluation.
- Develop production plans timelines budgets supplier briefs event schedules run of shows staffing plans and contingency plans.
- Source and evaluate venues food and beverage partners production vendors rental suppliers florists entertainment staffing resources and other event partners.
- Conduct venue site visits production meetings supplier briefings rehearsals and post-event debriefs.
- Oversee on-site event delivery and ensure suppliers talent partners and event teams execute to agreed creative and operational standards.
- Anticipate and resolve production guest-experience and logistical challenges calmly and effectively.
- Escalate material risks budget concerns or issues to the Lead Event Producer promptly together with recommended solutions.
- Ensure appropriate event health-and-safety procedures risk assessments permits insurance requirements and incident-reporting practices are followed.
- Partner with the Lead Event Producer and Membership Managers to develop programming that responds to local member interests cultural moments membership priorities and wider business goals.
- Contribute original event concepts and translate creative ideas into compelling achievable experiences.
- Maintain strong awareness of emerging talent cultural movements venues hospitality concepts and creative communities across North American markets.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with talent cultural partners venues brands suppliers and collaborators.
- Ensure programming is locally relevant inclusive and aligned with Soho House values and brand standards.
- Work with the Lead Event Producer to establish a clear creative vision for each event and carry it through venue selection styling food and beverage music lighting florals furniture service and guest flow.
- Ensure Soho House style and attention to detail are evident across every member touchpoint.
- Apply a strong understanding of hospitality and the member journey to create warm thoughtful and memorable experiences.
- Protect event quality while balancing creative ambition operational feasibility budget and business objectives.
- Oversee event content capture briefing and guiding photographers videographers and other creative partners to ensure imagery and video reflect the events atmosphere key moments member experience and Soho House brand standards.
- Manage performers and talent including contracting schedules travel hospitality technical requirements riders and on-site needs.
- Brief and manage multiple suppliers across a portfolio of events ensuring deliverables are completed on time within budget and to specification.
- Manage partner and client relationships where events include external collaborators or commercial partners.
- Negotiate effectively with venues and suppliers to achieve strong creative and commercial outcomes.
- Maintain positive professional relationships with partners talent representatives suppliers members and internal stakeholders.
- Manage individual event budgets forecasts purchase orders invoice tracking and final reconciliation.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure suppliers and partners are contracted and paid accurately and on time.
- Maintain reliable systems for event planning approvals bookings budgets contracts deadlines and production documentation.
- Provide clear and timely project updates to the Lead Event Producer including progress against timelines and budgets.
- Identify financial or operational risks early and communicate them clearly together with recommended solutions.
- Deliver events responsibly within approved budgets while maintaining agreed experience and brand standards.
- Prepare accurate event documentation including proposals briefs budgets contracts production schedules run of shows contact sheets and post-event reports.
- Draft engaging and accurate event copy and publish event details through GEM or other designated platforms.
- Coordinate event information with Membership Communications Marketing Partnerships Finance and other relevant teams.
- Ensure event details and changes are communicated clearly and promptly to all stakeholders.
- Track attendance member engagement budget performance feedback operational learnings and other agreed success measures.
- Conduct post-event debriefs and use insights to strengthen future programming and production.
- Provide timely updates to the Lead Event Producer on event status risks outcomes and upcoming priorities.
- Maintain forward visibility of the event pipeline.
- Contribute to seasonal and annual planning led by the Lead Event Producer.
- Represent Soho House professionally when working with members talent partners venues and suppliers.
- Support larger-scale regional or global projects as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties aligned with the scope and level of the role.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in event production cultural programming hospitality music luxury lifestyle fashion entertainment or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience producing complex high-quality events from concept through completion.
- Strong creative instincts and a genuine interest in culture hospitality music food and beverage and member experiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects deadlines stakeholders and suppliers.
- Substantial experience managing event budgets contracts invoices purchase orders and financial reconciliation.
- Strong project-management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confidence working under pressure and making sound decisions in fast-paced live-event environments.
- Knowledge of event health and safety risk assessment incident management and relevant production requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare event copy briefs and production documentation.
- Excellent relationship-building negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Collaborative proactive resourceful and comfortable working both independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Excel Trello or comparable project-management and event-production systems.
- Experience with GEM Trello Airtable Salesforce or similar platforms is advantageous.
- An established network across relevant North American creative cultural hospitality or production communities is advantageous.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly across North America and occasionally internationally.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays in line with the event schedule.
- Ability to remain on-site and work on ones feet for extended periods during event production and delivery.
- Ability to move carry or lift event-related materials weighing up to 40 pounds with reasonable accommodation where applicable.
- Ability to bend crouch kneel and navigate a variety of event and venue environments as required.
- Must be based in a Central or Eastern North American time zone.
